The QA tester role is a critical function within the QA team. Reporting directly to the QA Lead/QA Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with the external deployment project manager, producer, product manager, external dev team, QA, and the engineering teams to ensure best in class test coverage for Scopely projects. You’re a master of communication and bug finding wizard - able to both help coordinate a legion of testers with delegated tasks as well as roll up your own sleeves to take on the solo mission of assisting our cross-functional teams as an autonomous, expert QA specialist.
You will be responsible for many facets of the QA process, from authoring test cases to creating and executing test scripts for new features. During the design phase of new product features, you will also be expected to provide insight as to potential edge case issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential to succeed in this role
Responsibilities
- Ad hoc and structured test script based testing
- Identify and record bugs in Jira and track them through resolution
- Provide clear and concise feedback to developers
- Create test cases and test plans for new features
- Think creatively to come up with new testing solutions
- Actively participate in weekly team playtests and document issues found
- Passion for games of all genres and all platforms (mobile, PC and console)
- English proficiency (B2 level or above) – spoken and written
- Desire to build a career in the gaming industry and learn the ins and outs of how a game is made
- Strong teamwork skills. This means exactly what it says, nobody gets left behind, and everyone pulls their weight.

- 1-2 years experience testing Android, iOS apps/games, console or PC games
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Experience working with Jira or similar bug database software.
- Readily identify and articulate problem areas with appropriate sense of urgency
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize workload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to have
- Experience with multiplatform games
- Familiarity with Unity basics
- Experience with Google Play and App Store Connect Consoles
- Experience with first party requirements on Console
- Experience using various QA tools (Test Rail, Charles Proxy, XCode, etc...).
- Experience working with automation frameworks
