What is the project?

We at Twine are working with a venture-backed AI lab at the forefront of innovation in the performing arts. We're seeking a Junior Illustrator to collaborate with us in testing and refining cutting-edge AI models designed for media production, storytelling, and visual development. Your expertise will play a critical role in shaping the future of AI-assisted creativity across film, TV, and animation.

The tasks will involve data entry, creating questions and answering them, relevant to your field of expertise.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Entry-level experience creating designs for characters, environments, or story worlds.
  • Familiarity with translating creative briefs or abstract ideas into sketches, mood boards, or basic illustrations.
  • Exposure to working collaboratively with teams on small projects or assignments in film, animation, video games, or publishing.
  • Basic understanding of storytelling through visual elements like composition, colour theory, and mood-setting.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Proficiency with beginner-friendly digital illustration tools such as Photoshop, Procreate, or Krita.
  • Ability to create rough sketches and refine them into more polished designs with guidance.
  • Exposure to 3D tools like Blender or Maya is a bonus but not required.

Creative Edge:

  • Strong interest in developing imaginative designs and visual concepts.
  • Willingness to experiment with different styles, from stylized to realistic.

Project Scope and Timeline:

The project is already live and we are looking to hire someone ASAP, to complete the work before the Christmas period.

You will be assigned 18.5 hours of work, with the expectation that you complete a minimum of 6 hours a day from the moment you are onboarded.

The rate offered for this role is $481 as an estimation based on how much you may receive if each task that is assigned is completed. These numbers are not guaranteed but here to provide a guide.

This is a one-off project but there may be similar opportunities in the future should your contribution be required.
