We are Webb Technology, an ambitious indie studio based in London with a global team of over 35 passionate creators. Our journey began as a group of young developers who broke through the indie scene, and we’ve since dedicated ourselves to revolutionizing gaming. We’re driven, versatile, and committed to pushing the limits of what’s possible in browser-based games, developing one of the most advanced titles ever attempted in this space.

Our flagship project, Soulbound, is a browser-based MMORPG designed to run seamlessly within both your web browser and directly in Discord. After winning the Discord App Pitch, our game has gained viral attention as we continue building in early access. Soulbound draws inspiration from games like Stardew Valley, World of Warcraft, RuneScape, Genshin Impact, Sword Art Online, and Pokémon. It’s a pixel art world rich in quests, adventures, and challenges that allow players to level up, progress, and personalize their journey.

Soulbound thrives on live, dynamic events that immerse players in ever-evolving content. Weekly events, dungeons, and quests that scale in challenge and reward keep the experience fresh and socially engaging. Your Impact

Here, you’ll have the chance to contribute directly to Soulbound, gaining hands-on experience in game development and player engagement. Your role will support various departments, from content creation to quality assurance and community engagement, giving you an in-depth view into the workings of a groundbreaking gaming studio.

This is your entry point into the industry. Whether it’s helping to shape the narrative, building quests, brainstorming game mechanics, or creating artwork concepts, you’ll be part of bringing Soulbound to life.

Responsibilities

• Participate in game testing and quality assurance to ensure a seamless and polished experience for players
• Support the development team in creating compelling game content, from storylines to character designs
• Join brainstorming sessions to bring fresh ideas to gameplay mechanics and feature enhancements
• Engage with our player community, gathering feedback, addressing inquiries, and sharing insights with the team
• Assist in maintaining clear documentation and workflows, promoting best practices across the team

• All In: You’re expected to be in the studio five days a week, committed to being the first to arrive and the last to leave. Every day, you’ll be focused on ensuring that all tasks related to your role are completed, with clear, manageable responsibilities that support the team and studio.
• Driven and Hungry: This isn’t a place for people testing the waters; we want those ready to fully immerse themselves in game development. We want people who have already shown their passion for gaming by building, working on, or creating something of their own. Based on performance, there is potential to grow within Webb Technology beyond this internship.
• Organized, Creative, and Methodical: Whether your strengths lie in organization, creativity, or systematic execution, you need to bring a focused mindset. Passion and drive are a must, and you’ll have guidance from the team as you develop your skills.
• A Gamer at Heart: Gaming isn’t just an interest for you—it’s a passion. You’ve already demonstrated your love for gaming in some way, whether through game creation, modding, or other hands-on experience in the field.
• Self-Directed Learner: You must be willing to learn as you go, taking advantage of our tutorials, resources, and workbooks to grow your skills daily. We’ll provide mentorship and resources to help you succeed.
• Adaptable and Open to Feedback: A strong ability to take and learn from feedback, as well as to improve and refine your work over time.
