Compliance & Due Diligence Officer - Merchant Services

We seek to employ a Compliance and Due Diligence Officer who will join our Compliance Function and add value to the Euronet Merchant Services entity. The successful candidate will be based in Athens and will be reporting to the Regulatory Compliance and Due Diligence Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform Enhanced Due Diligence and evaluate High Risk customers/third parties based on a risk-based approach.
• Undertake Due Diligence sampling control reviews and quality checks on the Euronet Merchant Services clientele.
• Support from a Regulatory & Due Diligence standpoint aspects and overall strategy of special  projects, strategic business relationships and new products.
• Materializing the requirements of key financial services regulations including the Greek / EU payment services regulatory framework.
• Implementing compliance related policies and procedures.
• Cooperate with internal stakeholders to assist and provide guidance and training in compliance related to regulation, policies and procedures.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree and/or master’s degree in economics, finance, or related field.
• Up to 3 years of related proven experience in a Big4, company operating in a regulated environment (i.e. fintech, gaming).
• Hands on experience in Due Diligence and/or regulatory compliance
• Solid knowledge of the AML/KYC framework and KYC/KYB related databases, applications, and technical solutions.
• Professional qualifications in Audit/Compliance/Financial Crime/Risk (i.e., CAMS, CFE, ICA etc.) will be considered as a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
• Eligible to work in the EU on a full-time permanent basis without the need of employer sponsorship.
